Sober Coach

Vince Hannant

With over 25 years of working at senior business levels, Vince is all too familiar with the role that alcohol can play in both smoothing the wheels of industry and being the default “permission to relax” after stressful days. He decided to change his relationship with alcohol in his late forties, but still unsatisfied with effects of very moderate consumption, went completely dry in 2023 and in his words is “now living my best life”.  Already a business coach and emotional intelligence practitioner by day, it became a natural next step for him to become a qualified sobriety coach. With a deep appreciation of the pressures of senior business responsibility, Vince is passionate about helping sober curious professionals achieve their sobriety goals via focused, compassionate, 1:1 coaching support.

Sober Coach

Shaun Jones

Are you performing well – but sense there’s another gear you’re not reaching?

You’re not struggling; you’re succeeding. Yet something’s quietly dulling your edge—reducing clarity, energy, or consistency in ways that are easy to normalise in busy, high-pressure roles.

I call this Potential Lag.

With 35 years leading high-performance teams globally, I recognised in my fifties that even moderate drinking was creating friction I’d learned to ignore. Stepping back delivered sharper thinking, sustained energy, and a calmer, more grounded focus.

My Strategic Advantage Review is a confidential, 1:1 coaching conversation for senior professionals who are sober-curious – exploring the real performance impact of alcohol and other habits. Together, we clarify what’s creating drag on your peak performance and design the conditions for operating at your natural best. This is about clarity, choice, and sustained performance.

Sober Coach

Ian Watt

I’m Ian, a qualified sober coach supporting professional midlife men who’ve realised alcohol no longer fits the life they want to live – even if everything looks fine from the outside.

After a career in sales and senior leadership roles, I recognised I was using alcohol to cope with work I’d outgrown. The cycle of pushing hard, drinking to unwind, restless sleep, and low energy slowly took its toll. As I moved through midlife, I began to question whether this was really as good as life gets. Quitting alcohol showed me just how much it had been holding me back. Today, I live with a level of energy, clarity, and motivation I hadn’t felt since my 30s.

My coaching begins with stopping drinking, but it doesn’t end there. Together, we focus on what comes next: renewed vitality, purpose, and a life that feels worth getting up for. This isn’t about giving something up – it’s about moving towards the life you actually want.

Sober Coach

Adam Hemming

I’m Adam, a certified sober coach with a 25-year career leading marketing teams and businesses. I’ve lived and worked in London, Sydney, Singapore and Madrid, and now live in Staffordshire with my wife and two young kids. My children were my biggest motivation to quit drinking in 2022. Becoming a dad changed everything – I wanted to be fully present, not just physically there. I’m proud to be alcohol-free, and my only regret is not doing it sooner. I’m passionate about health and wellness, training regularly and competing in CrossFit and other fitness events. Quitting alcohol was the missing piece – it gave me more clarity, energy and balance than ever before.

Through Hemming Coaching, I help dads and high-achieving men take control of alcohol without relying on willpower alone. We create a clear vision for your future, and build the habits to help you show up fully – for yourself and those who matter most.

Sober Coach

Samantha King-Grant

Samantha broke up with booze in 2021 in the midst of a midlife reset. She realised that alcohol was hindering her by exacerbating perimenopause symptoms, impeding her ability to grieve her mother and generally working against her as her children left the nest. With a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from her time studying in Canada and the USA, Samantha now supports people in mid life flux who want to transition into a positive sober way of living.

Sober Coach

Rosie Conaty

I moved to London from Ireland, in the summer of 1996.  Throughout this time, I have worked in health and social care, including mental health and drug treatment services. My own alcohol-free journey began in July 2022, at the age of 45. After many years, of burning the candle at both ends, I decided to hit pause for a month. My intention was not to quit for good, but something shifted. I felt so good, physically and mentally, that I’ve kept going and not looked back. I chose the word Sláinte, pronounced slawn-che, as a nod to my Irish heritage. It means “health” in Gaelic, a word commonly used when raising a toast, similar to ‘cheers’.

My mission is to help you transform your relationship with alcohol, so you can still have fun, connect and celebrate, whilst experiencing all the benefits of an alcohol-free lifestyle.

Sober Coach

Marcus Jones

I was a weekend drinker until Pancake Day 2016 when my then-wife said she wanted to end our relationship. In that moment, my world changed. The bottle became my refuge. The numbness it offered felt like a shield, a barrier between myself and the pain I was experiencing. My life became a cycle, each week indistinguishable from the last: work, friends, drinks, sleepless weekends, and the dreaded Sunday blues. Alcohol was an excuse for everything – football games, stress, even the most trivial matters. However, amidst the chaos, I found my calling. I’ve turned my pain into purpose, my struggle into strength. I became an internationally accredited coach in transformation coaching and now, through Janey, a sober coach to help others navigate their struggles.

My aim is to help men find their path from Booze to Better and, in turn, transform their lives. I am here to help you break the cycle, find your strength in adversity, and transform your pain into purpose.

Sober Coach

Jo Bolding

Most support focuses on early sobriety. I work with you on what comes after.

If you’re six months sober (or more) and getting on with life but aware something still isn’t quite aligned – glad to be sober, yet slightly stuck, slightly restless, slightly “is this it?” – you’re in the right place. You’ve changed internally, but the outside hasn’t caught up. That in-between stage is where I work.

I’m Jo: an ICF-accredited coach, HR Director, long-term sober woman, and founder of Beyond Sober. My approach blends professional training with lived experience and trauma-responsive practice. It’s compassionate, practical support for people who don’t need fixing but do want space to understand who they are now, what they need, what matters, and how to live from that truth.

Here, not drinking isn’t the headline – it’s the foundation and is understood. This is where identity shifts surface, relationships tilt, old patterns reappear, and self-trust is rebuilt – so you can create a life that actually fits.

If you’re ready for the next bit, I’d love to talk.

Sober Coach

Sarah Bennett

Sarah’s relationship with alcohol began in her teens and became a deeply ingrained part of her lifestyle during a long career in the city and the advertising industry. The cycle of drinking continued well into her 40s and 50s, despite increasingly difficult hangovers, rising anxiety, and a persistent feeling that life had more to offer. Like many, she believed alcohol gave her confidence, connection, and fun. In truth, it was masking feelings of loneliness, stress, and uncertainty about the future. After multiple attempts to moderate, she eventually chose to quit completely and it changed her life more ways than she could imagine.

Today, she supports women who feel stuck in a similar cycle, helping them break free from alcohol and reconnect with their true selves. Her message is simple: sobriety isn’t about missing out,  it’s about finding real freedom and living a life that’s authentic, fulfilling, and full of possibility.

Sober Coach

Lucy Hall

Lucy helps teachers break the cycle of using alcohol to cope with the demands of school life, so they can reclaim their energy, confidence, and joy—both inside and outside the classroom.

After 20 years as a teacher and school leader, Lucy understands exactly how the pressures of marking, behaviour, workload, and constant emotional giving can quietly drive drinking habits. Having swapped alcohol for triathlon and discovered a far more balanced, fulfilling way to live, she now supports teachers who are ready for the same transformation.

Lucy specialises in helping teachers move on from alcohol in a way that feels achievable—even with a hectic timetable and the emotional intensity of the job. Her coaching focuses on rebuilding headspace, finding healthy coping strategies, and rediscovering activities that genuinely replenish you, so you can show up as the teacher and person you want to be.

Alongside her sobriety expertise, Lucy is a qualified swim, cycle, and running coach, and is currently training as a personal trainer and nutrition coach—bringing a holistic, wellbeing-focused approach perfect for stressed and time-poor teachers and school leaders.
