I have always been the kind of person that likes to do lots of things at once. I used to joke that I was good at ‘multi-plexing’ I was happy to be writing a document, while listening to a podcast, while answering the phone, responding to every ping of a text message, switching over to social media, popping out to put the washing on, pausing my project to start another, researching a different thing while I am meant to be working to a deadline. When I look back its amazing I ever got my books written!

Since ditching the booze, I have realised the next ‘habit’ I need to change is my tendency to multi-task. It’s time to up my productivity and become more focused.

Whatever habit you are trying to change, your success will depend on how focused you are. We all know that our unconscious minds will revert back to what we always did unless we focus and prioritise what happens ne

As you know from the online course, Get the Buzz without the Booze I don’t recommend trying to lose weight, quitting sugar, smoking or any other habit at the same time as you are ditching booze, I really believe it’s best to make that the number One priority. In the same way, once you’re solid in your sobriety and there are other things you’d like to change, use the same principle, choose the ONE thing.
Gary Keller is number one best-selling author of The One Thing, https://amzn.to/38zueRJ
He recognised that behind every successful person is their ONE Thing.
As he says… ‘ONE Thing stands between you and your goals. The ONE Thing is about getting extraordinary results in every situation’.

Your challenge is to ask yourself what is the ONE thing you can do, something that, by doing it, everything else will become easier?
Once you have identified that, it’s like the first domino to line up so that things will fall into place, and you can work towards what it is you really want.

So determine your BIG goal (if you’re early days alcohol free stick with that!) and then ask yourself what one thing can you do which moves you closer.

What ONE thing will you focus on this week?
