Are you a therapist, counsellor or wellbeing professional who has personally stepped free from alcohol?  You may have a career opportunity or an ‘add on’ you haven’t fully considered yet.

The demand for specialist sober coaches has never been greater, and it’s only accelerating. More people than ever are questioning their relationship with alcohol. Not dependent drinkers seeking clinical support, but ‘grey area drinkers,’ high-functioning professionals, busy parents, people who know alcohol is eroding their confidence, sleep, mental health and relationships, but who don’t identify with traditional recovery spaces.

They’re not looking for a clinic, AA or medication. They’re looking for a life coach who genuinely gets it. And research consistently shows that people working with a coach are significantly more likely to make lasting change than those trying to go it alone. Accountability, lived understanding and holistic support make the difference.

That’s where you come in.  If you already work in counselling, nutrition, yoga, mindfulness or any area of wellbeing, and you’ve personally navigated your own relationship with alcohol – you are exceptionally well placed to do this rewarding work and become a sober coach. I often share on the Alcohol Free Life podcast that I tried to quit for years and if I had treatments ( aromatherapy, bowen, kinesiology etc) I’d tentatively ask the therapist about my drinking – they didn’t know how to respond! One said .. er switch to vodka?

Your professional training gives you a powerful foundation. Your lived experience gives you something no qualification can teach. Adding the Sober Club Accredited sober coach accreditation to your existing practice could mean:

A natural extension of the work you already do – A growing niche with genuine unmet demand – Deeper client transformation and stronger results – A specialism that sets you apart in the wellbeing space

It doesn’t have to be a complete career change. Many of our coaches integrate it alongside existing work, building something meaningful and profitable at their own pace. It’s also possible to do this with no previous training.

I’m hosting a free webinar where I’ll walk through exactly what our Accredited Sober Coach Training involves, who it’s for and whether it could be the right next step for you.
