Feeling a bit stressed about the Christmas season?
On our special zoom meet up we did a ‘Christmas Sobriety ‘Wrap’

WRAP for Christmas Sobriety

WWellbeing First

RRecognize Triggers

  • Pinpoint the people, places, or situations that challenge your sobriety or wellbeing.
  • Reflect: What external factors lead to unhelpful internal thoughts or actions?
  • Plan: Strategies to manage or reduce exposure to these triggers (e.g., saying no, limiting time with certain people).

AAction Plan

  • Create a road-map to handle stressors and maintain sobriety:
    • What can you do immediately when you feel overwhelmed (e.g., call a friend, take a walk)?
    • Who can you reach out to for support?
    • What steps will help you stay on track daily and weekly?

PPositive Connections

  • Lean on your support network and build meaningful connections:
    • Who helps you feel supported and understood?
    • How can you give support to others during the festive season?
  • Remember: Connection reduces isolation, a common trigger for relapse.
