I’ve been running The Sober Club for a while now and realise its good every now and then to recap what its all about, voila –

My Philosophy!

I believe ditching alcohol isn’t about sacrifice.  It’s about coming home to yourself. Its about Wellbeing – underpinned by sobriety.

I’m a holistic sobriety coach and founder of The Sober Club, and I help ‘grey area drinkers’,  those who are not at rock bottom, but are definitely drinking more than they want to, and they are starting to see that alcohol is stealing their energy, joy, and peace. Its never about ‘just’ not drinking.  I love being able to inspire people to reclaim their lives, rediscover who they really are, and create a life they don’t need to escape from.

You probably already know my story, I quit at the end of 2017 and my ONLY regret is not doing it sooner. If you’d have told me back then that I’d never desire a glass of wine, I just wouldn’t have believed you, I wasn’t at rock bottom, but I was caught in the alcohol trap.  Now I have total freedom, and its priceless.

Over the years, through hosting the Alcohol-Free Life podcast, coaching 1:1 and in groups, and training sober coaches, I’ve seen a common thread:

People aren’t stuck because they “can’t control their drinking.
They’re stuck because they’re trying to change the behaviour without changing the story.

They’re using willpower instead of self-worth.
Shame instead of self-compassion.
Fear instead of freedom.

The real reason they’re struggling isn’t lack of discipline, it’s that we’ve been sold a lie: that alcohol is a reward, a coping mechanism, a part of who we are. But what if that story is broken?  Its all a big lie, the Emperor isn’t in fact, wearing any clothes. Its literally crazy that Alcohol is the only drug we have to justify NOT taking (a phrase originally coined by Jason Vale)

When people stay in that cycle of drinking, the worst they can expect is not just hangovers and regret, it’s a half-lived life. Missed purpose. Diminished potential. That low-level anxiety that never quite goes away. A disconnection from intuition, from joy, from self.

But when they break free, really free – they can become who they really are. They really can expect;
Radical clarity. Authentic confidence. Emotional resilience. True wellbeing.

Living life to the full in all its technicolour glory. And a life so rich, so aligned, they never want to go back.

What do I Do?

In everything I do, from running The Sober Club, to training the next wave of sober coaches, to sharing stories on the Alcohol-Free Life podcast , I hold a simple but powerful belief:

You are not broken. You are becoming who you really are.

There is NOTHING to give up, – everything to gain.

And alcohol? It’s not the prize.
It’s the thing in the way.

Through coaching, community, inspiration, and a holistic approach that includes nutrition, mindset, spirituality, and personal growth, I help people not just quit drinking — but rise into the version of themselves they were always meant to be. This is about so much more than saying “no” to alcohol.
It’s about saying “yes” to YOU.

The ‘Prescription’?

What people need most isn’t another set of rules.
They need permission to thrive.

They need someone to reflect their power back to them, not from a place of judgment, but from belief. They need tools, yes, but more importantly, they need hope. A new vision. A reason. A why. They need cheerleading to step into a new identity.

Because the alcohol-free life isn’t the end of fun, connection, or celebration.

It’s the beginning of everything.  Its literally the best thing you will ever do for your own health and wellbeing
